Victoria Remembers Minor Grant Program

The Victoria Remembers Minor Grant Program replaces the Commemoration and Education Grant Program.

The Victorian Veterans Council is responsible for distributing funds for this grant program and the Department of Premier and Cabinet manages the administration of the grants.

There are two funding rounds per year. Applicants should submit their application at least 6 months prior to the start date of the project or event.

Victoria Remembers Minor grants provide funding for projects which honour or commemorate the service and sacrifice of veterans and educate Victorians about the contribution made by our veterans in their service to the nation and the state. This could include new war memorials, commemorative events, public education projects and the preservation of wartime heritage.

Education Assistance for Veterans' Dependants grants provide funding to organisations to assist with the educational needs of veterans' dependants. Organisations wishing to apply for this program must contact the Veterans Branch at Department of Premier and Cabinet on 9651 2202 before submitting an application.

Funding range

Grants up to $30,000 (excluding GST) are available. Only one application can be made per project.

Eligibility

Local government authorities, not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions are eligible provided the project is based in Victoria. Unincorporated organisations may arrange for an incorporated organisation to act as an auspice on their behalf.

If you are an auspice organisation, you must read the information in the auspice arrangement downloadable document below and sign this form to show that you understand the terms of entering into an auspice arrangement. The form must be submitted as an attachment to the grant application.

See the program guidelines for further details including eligible and ineligible projects.
