Victoria Remembers Major Grant Program
The Victoria Remembers Major Grant Program may assist projects or activities that commemorate other wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations in which Victorians have served.
Projects may involve
- reflective or memorial spaces and memorials (where a memorial does not exist)
- history and research projects (excluding printing)
- community events (for example, ceremonies, parades, re-enactments)
- cultural, multicultural and arts projects
- exhibitions, performances and publications
- web based materials and app development
Funding range of grant
The program is designed to support projects, with a contribution between $30,000 and $80,000 (excluding GST), which have a significant commemorative or educational benefit for Victoria's diverse community. Only 1 application can be made per project.
If your project is less than $30,000 (excluding GST) please do not apply to this grant program. If your project is under the minimum amount, you may wish to apply in another grant program such as the Victoria Remembers Minor Grant Program.
You are expected to contribute at least 20% of the overall expense budget for the project. Organisations unable to make this contribution are still able to apply but must provide justification for not making this contribution in their application.
Eligibility
Ex-service organisations, local government authorities, not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions are eligible provided the project is based in Victoria. Applications from other types of organisations may be considered on a case by case basis. Unincorporated organisations may arrange for an incorporated organisation to act as an auspice on their behalf.
If you are an auspice organisation, you must read the information in the auspice arrangement downloadable document below and sign this form to show that you understand the terms of entering into an auspice arrangement. The form must be submitted as an attachment to the grant application.
