Victorian Veterans Council - Anzac Centenary Community Grants Program

The Victorian Veterans Council has established a community grants program to commemorate the Anzac Centenary.

The Anzac Centenary Community Grants Program offers funding to eligible organisations for projects that:

  • commemorate the service and sacrifice of World War I veterans and their communities: or
  • inform and educate Victorians about the experiences of World War I veterans and their communities.

The program supports local projects in Victoria and is separate from and will complement other Anzac Centenary grant programs delivered by the Victorian Government and/or the Commonwealth Anzac Centenary Local Grants Program.

Eligibility

Victorian ex-service organisations, local government authorities, not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions.

Previously funded grants

Funding range of grant

Grants of up to $20,000 will be available for World War I projects including new memorials, local one off community events, local community education projects and the preservation of local World War I Anzac history.

Note annual commemorative events such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day are not eligible in this grants program.

The program will be available on an ongoing basis over the period of the Anzac Centenary (2014-2018).

Open dates

  • Round 1 for 2016-17 Opened 6 June 2016 and Closed 29 August 2016 
  • Round 2 Opens 28 November 2016 and Closes 14 February 2017.
