Victoria's emergency services are among the best in the world, but like many places, Victoria will continue to face significant emergency risks. Victoria needs a modern 'all-hazards' (both natural and man-made) emergency management system to better prepare us for the future.

The consultation is open until 14 November 2011.
Timeline for Reform
Following consultation on the Green Paper (and the release of the Final Report of the Victorian Floods Review due 1 December 2011), a policy proposal will be developed and released in the form of a White Paper in 2012, with the ultimate aim of introducing major reforms in 2012.
