DPC Innovation

In the Victorian Public Service, we have always looked for new approaches to improve the way we work and to respond to the needs of the Victorian community. Innovation is a key driver of better outcomes in policy development and service delivery.

VPS Innovation Action Plans

DPC is driving innovation in government through the Innovation Action Plan and the Government 2.0 Action Plan. Endorsed by departmental secretaries, both plans are being implemented across the Victorian Public Service and are underpinned by the principles of collaboration, openness and engagement.

The Innovation Action Plan supports the generation, development and implementation of ideas at all levels. While the Government 2.0 Plan provides a systematic approach to the use of Web 2.0 applications and tools for engaging with citizens, developing policy and delivering services.

The two plans are the first step in making sure innovation is supported throughout the VPS and will evolve over time.
