DPC manages aspects of the Victorian and Australian systems of honours and awards.
The Order of Australia
The Order of Australia awards are announced twice each year - on Australia Day and on the Queen's Birthday - to recognise outstanding service. Information and nomination forms for honours and awards made in the Order of Australia are available at the It's an Honour website.
Australian Bravery Awards
The Australian Bravery Council meets twice a year to consider bravery awards nominations and to make recommendations to the Governor-General. Information and nomination forms for bravery awards are available at the It's an Honour website.
Australian of the Year Awards
The National Australia Day Council manages the Australian of the Year Awards. Victorian nominations are assessed in conjunction with the Australia Day Committee (Victoria). The Public Service Medal (PSM)
The Public Service Medal formally recognises outstanding service by public servants not eligible for other service awards. To nominate Victorian public servants for the Public Service Medal, download a nomination form (Word 1.26 mb).
