Challenges in Addressing Disadvantage - Position Paper

The Victorian Government has released a position paper that charts the Government's progress in social investment and tackling disadvantage. It provides a picture of the nature and extent of disadvantage in Victoria, identifies areas where Victorians aren't getting a fair go and makes the case for reducing disadvantage in the interests of all Victorians.

The paper outlines current challenges and presents a framework for future action over the medium term. A detailed action plan setting out the first initiatives will follow in the lead up to the 2005-06 State Budget.
