About Strategic Communications Branch (SCB)
The objectives of the branch:
Strategic Communications Branch (SCB) is responsible for providing integrated communication advice, strategies and solutions to the Premier and Government agencies. Developing and encouraging compliance with message strategies and branding principles across all Victorian Governments. SCB aims to improve Victorian Government communication with the Victorian public and across government and takes a lead role in the development of policies, guidelines and resources for a range of communications media.
The Branch is also responsible for the planning and management of major communications-related procurement and contract administration, assisting departments with major communications projects and providing in-house consulting on major research projects. In addition, SCB works on a range of events and events/communications/marketing activities where Government has a key funding and/or a direct implementation role. Activities include events such as Australia Day and the Calendar of Events.
