Employment Programs

Below are a variety of employment programs available that the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) engages to recruit new staff. For other programs please see the Careers with the Victorian Government website.

• Graduate Recruitment Scheme
  DPC participates in the Victorian Public Service Graduate Recruitment Scheme coordinated by the State Services Authority. This link to the Graduate Recruitment website provides more information including how to apply.

• The Summer Internship Program
  Each year, DPC offers opportunities to a small number of final and penultimate year university students to complete a summer internship (work placement) within one of the branches. DPC internships are advertised in mid - late year on campuses and the Careers with the Victorian Government website.

• Indigenous Cadetship Program
  DPC's Indigenous cadetship is available to full time university or TAFE students of Indigenous background with an interest in working for government. DPC internships and the Indigenous cadetship will be advertised on campuses and the Careers with the Victorian Government website. • The Youth Employment Scheme
  The Department of Premier and Cabinet participates in the Youth Employment Scheme (YES), which provides apprenticeships and traineeship opportunities within the Victorian Public Service. This link takes you to the Youth Employment Scheme website.
