The Department of Premier and Cabinet has a leadership role in the identification and implementation of the strategic directions of government. The Department and its Secretary are responsible to the Premier, who is also Minister for Multicultural Affairs. The Department advises the Premier on matters affecting the Government as a whole and on issues specific to his portfolio. The Department also provides advice to, the Minister for the Arts and the Minister for Information and Communication Technology.
