| Cross-Border Issues Meeting NSW-Victoria 2007 | |
| On 17 August 2007, the heads of NSW and Victorian Government departments attended the second NSW-Victoria Cross-Border Issues meeting in Albury, NSW. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and address issues that affect people who live and work along the NSW-Victoria border.
The meeting was informed by discussions with local NSW and Victorian Members of Parliament and Mayors about common problems faced by communities on the border. This meeting is part of a broader framework of intergovernmental forums through which States and Territories are working to address inconsistencies arising from the interaction of different jurisdictional regimes. |

| Victorias National Infrastructure Audit - Final Report to the Australian Council of Australian Governments Infrastructure Working Group and Infrastructure Australia | |
| On 30 June 2008, the Victorian Government submitted its contribution to the National Infrastructure Audit to the Commonwealth Government and Infrastructure Australia. Victoria's National Infrastructure Audit provides a strategic overview of Victoria's infrastructure requirements in the areas of land transport, water, airports, sea ports, energy and telecommunications. The Audit aims to identify those key infrastructure projects that will most contribute to Victoria's future productivity growth. |
| Major steps forward for COAG in 2008 | |
| The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) held its 20th meeting in Melbourne in December 2007. COAG recognised a unique opportunity for Commonwealth-State cooperation to take major steps forward for the Australian Community. COAG identified seven areas for its 2008 work agenda. It agreed to a new model including the establishment of seven working groups. |

The Prime Minister, Premiers, Chief Ministers and the President of the Australian Local Government Association were joined for the meeting by Commonwealth, State and the Australian Capital Territory Treasurers and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Secretary for Government Service Delivery. | The Council for the Australian Federation (CAF) held its 6th meeting on Friday 29 May 2009 in Brisbane. State and Territory Premiers and Chief Ministers were joined by Treasurers to discuss strategic issues, policy innovation and CAF projects. Following the meeting, CAF released its submission to the Henry Tax Review, the third paper in the Federalist Paper series, and three reports investigating the potential impact on States and Territories of the Commonwealth Government's proposed introduction of a Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS).
