The 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission Interim Report was tabled in Parliament on Monday 17 August 2009. The Council for the Australian Federation (CAF) held its 6th meeting on Friday 29 May 2009 in Brisbane. State and Territory Premiers and Chief Ministers were joined by Treasurers to discuss strategic issues, policy innovation and CAF projects. Following the meeting, CAF released its submission to the Henry Tax Review, the third paper in the Federalist Paper series, and three reports investigating the potential impact on States and Territories of the Commonwealth Government's proposed introduction of a Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS). These, along with the CAF communique detailing the outcomes of the meeting, are available through the CAF website.
